Description

The Old Pumphouse is a timber-framed house dating from around the 17th century. The cross wing at the west end, facing the road, was encased in brick in the 18th century and features string courses and gable ends. The building is two stories tall with an attic and has two windows, which are casements with glazing bars set in segmental headed openings. At the rear, there is a 17th-century timber-framed wing that is partly faced in painted brick. The house has a steeply pitched tiled roof with a gabled end and a large brick ridge stack.
