Description
Riverside is a small house dating from the early 19th century. It features slatestone rubble walls on the front and sides, with mostly cob at the rear. The house has brick arches and slate sills, topped by a hipped grouted scantle slate roof with brick chimneys on the side walls. The layout consists of a two-room central stair plan and it has not been extended to the rear. The house is two storeys high with a symmetrical two-window south front and a central doorway. The original door is a four-panel flush-beaded design, set beneath a shallow wooden low-pitched gable porch. The windows are four-panel horned sashes. The interior has not been inspected. Riverside is an unspoilt and unextended building located in the middle of Coombe village at the head of the creek.
