Granary 30 Metres To North East Of Trescobel

This granary, located 30 meters northeast of Trescobel, dates from around the 1820s. It features a timber frame and is hung with slate, topped by a pyramid roof made of scantle slate. The building is square in shape and is elevated above the ground on three rows of three granite staddle stones. There are stone rubble steps leading up to a timber plank door, and timber louvred openings on two sides. Inside, there are posts with slots for horizontal dividing boards, as well as a mechanism to adjust the louvered shutters. The interior also contains pencilled inscriptions that record names, dates, and amounts. The granary is situated within the grounds of a rectory that has since been converted into a private house, known as Trescobel.
