Description

This is a water pump located approximately 3 metres north of Bosvathick Farmhouse, dating from the late 19th century. The pump features a cast-iron housing that is circular in shape, adorned with mouldings and topped with a fluted cap. The front spout is decorated with gadrooning and has a lug on top for securing the bracket. The original pump handle remains intact on the right-hand side. The pump stands on a dressed granite well cover in the farmhouse's back yard. It is part of a remarkably complete and unaltered late 19th-century farmstead built on the small Bosvathick estate.
