Description

The Rows chest tomb, located approximately 1 metre west of the south aisle of the Church of St Paul in Ludgvan, is a Grade II listed structure dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It commemorates the Rows family and is made of dressed elvan with incised slate insets on the sides. The tomb is rectangular in shape and features a plinth, moulded corners, and a moulded lid. The inscriptions on the tomb include: Grace Rows, who died in 1763 at the age of 40; Christopher Rows, who died in 1803 at the age of 87; Grace Rows, who died in 1820 at the age of 22; Christopher Rows, who died in 1830 at the age of 68; and Mary Anne Rows, who died in 1835 at the age of 32.
