Description

The Bluett headstone is located against the east wall of the chancel of the Church of St Paul in Ludgvan. This headstone dates from the early 19th century and commemorates Elizabeth Bluett from the Scilly Isles, who lived from 1790 to 1809. It is made of incised slate and features a monolith with a square head. The inscription is framed by a two-bay incised Ionic colonnade, which includes angels in the tympana and an urn beneath the bead and reel cornice of the arch.
