Description
Lord’s Row comprises two cottages dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The cottages are constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled stone slate roof. They feature rendered and brick ridge stacks, and a brick stack at the right end. The building has a four-unit plan, originally a four-window range, but now with 20th-century timber lintels over 20th-century doors and porches, and over 20th-century casement windows. Fragments of medieval stone, including part of a Norman arch, likely from Eynsham Abbey, have been reused over the left-hand door of the first cottage. The interior has not been inspected. The cottages are included in the listing primarily for their group value.
