Description
Lewcott is a cottage dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is built of granite rubble with granite dressings and features a wheat reed thatched roof. The roof has granite chimneys over the shared cross party wall with the Old Cottage and a brick chimney over the left-hand gable end. Originally, the cottage had two rooms with chambers mostly in the roof space above. In the 19th century, it was extended with a back kitchen or scullery on the right side.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a roughly symmetrical south front with two windows. The first-floor windows are closer together and set under thatch eyebrows. The doorway is centrally located in relation to the windows and features a 20th-century door. The right side has four-pane sash windows, while those on the left are 20th-century horned copies. The interior has not been inspected.
