Description
Lambessow is a building from the 17th century and earlier, featuring a rubble construction and a slate roof. It has two storeys and a roughly L-shaped plan. The long wing has four windows with restored sashes that include glazing bars, and there is a porch with a sloping slate roof. The south wing has undergone significant restoration and alteration, including the addition of a large plate glass window. Inside, there is a notable 17th-century staircase with turned balusters, square newels, turned pendants, and a moulded string. The interior also features an Adam style fireplace and two well-preserved 17th-century panelled doors. This building was once home to the grandfather of Samuel Foot, an actor-manager born in 1720.
