Description
The Former Sergeants' Mess at Pendennis Castle is a building dating from 1911, located within the grounds of the castle. It is constructed from Killas rubble with granite dressings, which include a plinth, coping, quoins, jambstones, lintels, voussoirs, and a keyblock above the central doorway. The building features string courses along the gable ends and copings with moulded kneelers, topped by a dry Delabole slate roof and two stone axial stacks. It has a rectangular plan and is a single storey with a symmetrical front that has four windows. The original windows are 12-pane horned sashes, and there is a central top-glazed four-panel door. The interior was not inspected. This building is included for its group value with the castle.
