Description
The lime kiln fronting the River Lynher is likely from the early 19th century and is conveniently located at Wearde Quay. The structure is built from rubble, with rounded corners on the south side. An upper platform was previously accessible by a path leading to the quay. Inside, the kiln features brick and vertically laid rubble lining, along with a double arched firehole. There is a later roofless lean-to on the west side, and a later warehouse to the east obscures the eastern firehole, if one exists.
