Description
Quay Terrace is a group of three houses built around 1800, possibly earlier. The buildings are two and a half storeys high, constructed from rubble with a slate roof that is hipped to the left. Each house features two hipped dormers. The arrangement includes three windows on the left house, three on the middle house, and five on the right house, all of which have glazing bar sashes. The first floor windows are topped with wooden lintels, while the ground floor windows have brick segmental heads. A brick band runs above the ground floor. The eastern house has a three-window pedimented break with a blind oculus and central doors. This terrace was originally designed as a balanced composition of five houses, with the central one being pedimented, likely built as part of the local quarry business, as indicated by the nearby Wearde Quay and limekiln.
