Description
The lychgate and wall enclosing the churchyard of the Church of St Andrew date from the late 19th century. The lychgate is constructed from granite ashlar and features a slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends, along with raised coped verges. The walls are made of slatestone and granite rubble, topped with granite coping stones. The lychgate is located at the southwest corner of the churchyard, with the walls extending along the south side and returning along the east side. The lychgate has gable end walls and a roof, and is open at the sides, featuring 20th-century wooden gates and a 20th-century granite coffin rest. The walls stand approximately 2 meters high and are finished with roughly hewn granite coping stones.
