Description
There are two tombchests located 8 metres to the southwest of the west tower of the Church of St Tetha. The first tombchest is for George Martyng, who died in 1796. It is made of stone rubble and features a rectangular slate lid. The second tombchest is for Giles Lockwood Hawken and others, dating from 1859. This chest is constructed from slate and has a moulded base, cornice, and panelled sides. The lid is inscribed with lettering in both upper and lower case.
