Description
Trussel Farmhouse is a circa mid-18th century farmhouse with a circa late 18th century extension forming an outshut to the rear. The farmhouse is constructed of rubblestone and cob, with painted slate hanging on the south front. It has a scantle slate roof with gable ends. A brick chimney stack is located in the left-hand gable end, and a rendered rubblestone projecting stack is on the right-hand gable end. The rear outshut is of cob construction with a scantle slate roof. The farmhouse has a two-room through-plan, with small service rooms added at the rear within the two-storey outshut. The front facade is symmetrical, featuring three windows across two storeys. On the ground floor, there are two 16-pane horned sashes with exposed sash boxes and crown glass. A single-storey extension of the 20th century is located on the left-hand gable end. The rear outshut has two storeys and features early 19th century casement windows with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected. The farmhouse has group value.
