Description

Hendra House is a house dating from around the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed granite rubble with granite dressings, and has a dry Delabole slate half-hipped roof with pierced, crested clay ridge tiles. The chimneys are of rendered brick and project over the side walls.

The original layout comprised a double-depth plan with two rooms originally at the front, flanking an entrance hall leading to a stair hall situated between a service room. The room on the right-hand side of the front was likely wider, possibly serving as a kitchen or living room.

The north-north-east front has a nearly symmetrical arrangement of three windows. The doorway and window above are positioned slightly to the left of the centre. The front door is a 20th-century six-panel design with an overlight. Original hornless twelve-pane sashes are present on the first floor, while the ground floor windows are horned replacements.

The interior of the property has not been inspected.
