Description

Lower Hailglower is a late 18th century house and byre constructed of granite rubble, with a slurried slate roof and gable ends. It is two storeys high. The front features two widely spaced windows, which are small, later sashes without glazing bars. A plain, recessed doorway is centrally positioned. To the left is a byre with stone steps leading to a first-floor loft door. There are no additions to the rear of the building. The building has granite chimney stacks with cap stones. The group value of Lower Hailglower rests in its contribution to the character of the surrounding area.
