Description

No. 4 Church Street is a 17th-century cottage built from stuccoed uncoursed rubble. It features a slurried slate roof with gable ends, which have gable parapets and volute kneelers. The cottage has two storeys and three windows, which are later sashes without glazing bars. The ground floor has two-light double-hung sashes, while the first floor has semi-dormers with double-hung sashes, also without glazing bars. A large granite chimney stack with a moulded cap is prominent on the building, and there is a plain central doorway. This cottage, along with the Church of St Just Churchyard wall, forms a group with the King's Arms Hotel and No. 6 Market Square.
