Description
No. 6 Pike Street is a town house that underwent late 19th-century remodelling, likely of an 18th-century building. The front features slate hanging on studwork, and the roof is covered with asbestos slate, having hipped ends at both the front and rear. There is a rendered two-tier stack on the left side and cast-iron ogee gutters. The house has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with a single window range. On the second floor, there is a late 19th-century four-pane horned sash window. The first floor features an early 20th-century transomed canted oriel window with a moulded cornice. The ground floor has a late 19th or early 20th-century double shop front, which includes transomed early 20th-century windows that are slightly splayed towards the central entrance, flanked by sidelights and a glazed door. The end pilasters have consoles, and there is a fascia with a moulded cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
