Description

The Carter chest tomb, located approximately 16 metres south of the Church of Saint Germoe, dates from 1824 and commemorates Thomas Carter. It is constructed from granite ashlar and features a rectangular chest design. At the west end, there is an inscribed slate monolith slab. The slate slab has an incised inscription facing west, which reads: "Thomas Carter, died 1824 aged 55, and Margaret his wife."
