Description

Trevales Farmhouse, including the front garden walls and gate piers, is a farmhouse dating from the early 19th century. It features a front made of coursed granite with granite dressings and has a grouted scantle slate hipped roof with a central cross valley at the rear. Brick chimneys are positioned over the side walls, and cast-iron ogee gutters are present.

The farmhouse has a double depth plan with two similarly sized front rooms on either side of a cross passage that leads to a stair hall, with service rooms at the rear: a back kitchen on the left and a pantry on the right. The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window south front and a central doorway that has a 20th-century door. The original windows include 12-pane hornless sashes, which are also found at the rear, along with an original 16-pane two-light casement on the right-hand wall of the pantry.

The front garden is surrounded by a low coursed granite wall, and there is a gateway with granite monolithic piers in the left-hand wall. The interior has not been inspected.
