Description

Cliff Cottage is a small house located at the end of a row, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of local killas rubble with granite dressings, and features brick arches over the windows and door. The roof is covered in asbestos slate, with brick chimneys on the gable ends, and a lean-to to the right has a roof of scantle slate held in place with grout. The original layout consisted of a two-room plan house with a central entrance lobby, later extended in the 19th century by the addition of a single-room lean-to on the right.

The two-storey façade has a symmetrical arrangement of three windows, with a central doorway. The doorway currently has a 20th-century door. The original windows were 16-pane hornless sashes; however, the glazing bars have been removed from the lower lights of the ground-floor windows. A 20th-century conservatory now stands in front of the doorway and left-hand window. The lean-to to the right features a 19th-century doorway and window on the ground floor (both replacements from the 20th century) above which is an original 12-pane hornless sash. The interior of the property has not been inspected.
