Description

This is an early 19th-century terrace of nine buildings, numbered 49 to 55, on the north side of Back Road. The buildings are arranged over three storeys and feature sash windows without glazing bars. Steps lead to the first-floor doorways, and there is a wide shop entrance on the ground floor. The roof is slate-covered with gable ends. The buildings contribute to the group value of the street. Nos 35 to 55 (odd) and the Old Bakehouse form a group.
