Description
This is a group of five chest tombs located in the north area of the churchyard of the Church of St Columba, dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. The tombs are made of granite ashlar, with three featuring rendered tops and one having a granite top. The fifth tomb, situated to the west, is constructed from slatestone rubble and also has a granite top. Four of the chest tombs have granite ashlar chests, with all but one including a plinth. Each tomb has a flat top with moulded edges; the northeast tomb has a granite top, while the others have rendered tops. The fifth tomb to the west features a rubble chest, a flat granite top with a moulded edge, and an inset slate inscription plate on top, although the inscription is illegible.
