Description

This granary, located 100 meters to the west of Pathada Farmhouse, dates from around 1810. It features a timber frame and is hung with slate, topped by a pyramidal scantle slate roof. The front (east) is supported by a row of four staddle stones, while the rear is supported by rubblestone piers. The building has a rectangular plan, with a central plank door on the east front. The lower rows of slate hanging have been replaced with metal sheets, and there are rectangular openings on the north side where the louvers have been removed. Inside, slotted dividing boards remain, and the roof is supported by a king post truss. The granary was moved from the farmyard to its current position around the 1980s.
