Description
The granary, located approximately 250 meters west of North Frith Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It is timber-framed and features a slate roof. This small, single-storey structure is raised on stone staddle stones and has a pyramid roof. The walls are covered with weatherboarding. There is a doorway on the east side, which has a plain plank door with iron hoops on either side, allowing a farmhand to pull himself up to the granary.
Inside, the granary is lined with matchwood planks, and the roof is constructed in the clasped side purlin fashion. This granary appears to be slightly older than the other buildings on the site, which were constructed in 1856 as part of a model farm.
