Description
North Frith House, Ladies Bathing Box is a ladies bathing box, either built around 1889 by George Friend or slightly earlier. It is a rectangular structure made of Kentish ragstone, attached to a circular cement bathing pool. The building features a tiled roof with ridge tiles and end finials. There are plank doors in the end gable, and on one side, steps lead down into the water behind a screen wall that has a pointed arch. Inside, there are wooden benches along two sides. This building is noted for its completeness and extreme rarity as a building type.
