Description
The bridge over the River Inney at Gimblett's Mill was rebuilt in 1847 following a flood. It is constructed from slatestone rubble with granite dressings and features six spans supported by granite lintels. On the upstream side, there are triangular cutwaters topped with granite, while the downstream side lacks cutwaters. The parapet walls are made of rubble with rounded granite coping, standing approximately 70 centimetres high and tapering down to the south, with the sides splayed back to the north. Each end of the bridge has drain holes for flood water. The structure measures about 17 metres long and 3 metres wide.
