House About 6 Metres West Of Hatherleigh Cottage

This building is a house located about 6 metres west of Hatherleigh Cottage in Stibb, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of slatestone rubble, which is whitewashed and plastered only on the rear. The roof is slate, hipped at the left end, with a right gable and a chimney made of local brick, along with a tall brick chimney at the left end.

The house has two storeys and a three-window front, featuring a central enclosed gabled porch with horizontal boards in the gable. The ground floor windows are two-light timber casements, each with six panes per light and timber lintels. On the first floor, there are three windows, also two-light timber casements, but with four panes per light and timber lintels. Slate sills are present throughout the building.

At the rear left, there is a single-storey slate lean-to. The rear features irregularly spaced ground floor windows, including two two-pane openings and one two-light timber casement with six panes per light. There is also one first-floor two-pane opening situated high under the eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
