Description
This is a group of three headstones located in the churchyard about 8 metres south of the nave of the Church of St Stephen. They date from the 19th century and are made of granite with slate inscription tablets.
The first headstone is for Mary Arthur, dated 1867, featuring a tripartite shaped top and a recessed trefoil, along with a rebated slate inscription tablet that has a 4-centred arch. The second headstone commemorates John Arthur, who passed away in 1835. It has a cornice and a swept pedimental top, with a rectangular rebated slate inscription tablet that includes incised circular decoration and verses. The third headstone is for Samuel Pinch, dated 1845, and has a rectangular shape with a segmental top, along with a rectangular rebated slate inscription tablet that features carved sunrays at the corners.
