Description
The Arthur monument is a headstone located in the churchyard, approximately 2 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Stephen. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of granite, featuring a slate inscription tablet. The headstone has a moulded edge and a nowy head with rounded shoulders. The slate inscription tablet is rebated and includes an incised border along with admonitory verses dedicated to Philip Arthur, who passed away in 1817.
