Description
This is a farmhouse and adjoining outbuildings, built around the late 18th century and extended in the 19th century. The front is stuccoed, while the rest is constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings. The roofs are made of grouted scantle slate with gable ends, and there are granite stacks and cast-iron ogee gutters. The overall plan is U-shaped, featuring a two-room layout for the 18th-century house with a central lobby and stair. There is a dairy from the early 19th century positioned at right angles to the left room, along with a later 19th-century cartshed beyond it. Stables and another cartshed run parallel to the rear of the house. The building has two storeys and a slightly asymmetrical three-window west front, with a doorway located to the left of the center. The entrance features a 19th-century four-panel door set within a 20th-century gable-ended porch, and the windows have four-pane horned sashes. The interior has seen little alteration since the 19th century.
