Description

The arc lamp post, designed in 1888 by H.F. Proctor, is located adjacent to the north-west corner of Clifton Library in Bristol. It is made of cast iron and features a fluted base with panels that display the City Arms. The post is topped by a foliate bulb, and the shaft extends to a foliate top that curves into a half-circle. This design includes curly brackets supporting the lamp, which is adorned with a cast flower.
