Description
No. 16 Christmas Steps is an attached house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick with limestone dressings, featuring lateral brick stacks and a pantile roof. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with an attic, presenting a two-window range. The gabled front includes a shop front with a small shop window on the right, which has moulded jambs, a 20th-century window on the left, and a doorway located to the right of the centre. Above the first floor, there is a raised brick string course, and the first floor features two keyed brick arches over casement windows with horizontal bars, while the second floor has a six-pane window. The interior has not been inspected.
