Description

Bentry Lodge is an early 19th-century house located on the east side of Passage Road, Westbury on Trym, Bristol. It is constructed of stucco with limestone ashlar dressings, and has a slate valley roof. The house follows a double-depth plan and is built in a late Georgian style. Architectural features include pilasters, a cornice, and a parapet. A prominent ashlar porch has a segmental-headed doorway and semicircular-arched side openings; the doorway originally had a reeded architrave, but now contains a 20th-century door. Late 19th-century 8/8-pane sash windows are present, along with a semicircular-headed sash window above the porch. The interior was largely remodelled in the mid-20th century.
