Description
22 and 23 Pritchard Street are a pair of attached houses that have been converted into offices. They were originally built in the late 18th century and were rebuilt around 1990. The buildings are constructed of brick with limestone dressings, featuring party wall stacks and a pantile roof. They are designed in a late Georgian style and consist of three storeys, an attic, and a basement, with a two-window range. The houses are part of a stepped terrace, characterized by a ramped cornice and parapet, and have pedimented semicircular-arched doorways with fanlights and six-panel doors. The windows are six-over-six pane sashes with five stepped voussoirs. The interior was not inspected. The rebuilding was done to match the original design, maintaining the landscape value of the approach to Portland Square.
