Description

The Manor House, which has been converted into flats, dates back to around 1700 and was restored around 1980. It features a roughcast exterior with limestone dressings, brick lateral stacks, and a hipped roof covered with pantiles. The house has a double-depth plan and consists of two storeys and an attic, with a six-window range and single-storey side wings that have two windows each. The windows are regularly spaced and topped with a continuous string course, and the eaves have a moulded cornice.

The main entrance is located slightly off-center and features a moulded pegged frame with a 20th-century door, topped by an impressive raised canopy with a shell hood supported by carved foliate brackets. The narrow cross windows are fitted with metal casements that have horizontal bars, and there are six hipped dormers with casements. The left wing has two cross windows, with the right one having a 20th-century door beneath the transom, while the left wing includes an inner doorway and a 12/12-pane sash window. The rear elevation shows irregular window placement, along with 20th-century dormers and an oriel window. The house has large stacks connected by small ridge links.

Although the interior was not inspected, it is reported to contain original panelling and a staircase. The property also features subsidiary elements, including attached rubble walls in the front garden, an ashlar side doorway with alternate rusticated quoins and large voussoirs, and ashlar piers at the front.
