Description
The Watts Memorial Drinking Fountain is a drinking fountain dated 1900, located in Horfield, Bristol. It is made of cast-iron and Pennant stone. The fountain features a round stone plinth and a square pedestal with basins on each side, adorned with relief ornamentation and protruding oil lamps. The gas lamp is supported by raised animal feet and has a round fluted shaft with an acanthus base and fern capital, along with bars and supports for the missing gas lamp. A plaque commemorating J Watts is also present. The fountain was cast in Glasgow.
