Description

This is an early 19th-century rectory located on Wellington Hill in Horfield, Bristol. The building is constructed with roughcast over coursed Lias stone, with rendered brick stacks, and has a slate hipped roof. It is designed in a late Georgian style, with a double-depth plan. The front, facing the garden, has two storeys and five windows, featuring a central glazed door and 5/5 pane sash windows without horns. A wrought-iron pergola with Greek decoration is also present. The rear elevation has three windows, a blocked round-arched doorway with a teardrop lantern fanlight, a stair light with margin bars, and 6/6 pane sash windows. The eaves overhang. The original main entrance is now blocked, with the main entrance now located on the side of the building. The interior has not been inspected. The rear yard contains cobbled paving, bordered by a perimeter wall constructed of rubble to the southwest and northwest.
