Description

Whitney House is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It features a rendered exterior with ashlar dressings, brick end stacks, and a pantile roof. The building has a double-depth plan and is designed in the late Georgian style. It stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. The façade includes pilasters and a parapet, with a left-of-centre doorcase that has a pediment, triglyphs, and pilasters, along with a batswing fanlight above a six-panel door. The windows are six-over-six pane sashes, with smaller windows on the second floor. Inside, there is a dogleg stair leading from the central hall and panelled shutters.
