Description

The pair of cottages at 3 and 5 Henbury Road date from the mid-18th century. They are rendered with brick gable stacks and have a pantile roof, hipped at the right end. The cottages have a single-depth plan and represent a Mid Georgian style. They are two storeys high with a four-window front. Number 3 has a symmetrical facade featuring a four-light fanlight above a six-panel door, nine/nine-pane sashes on the ground floor with thick glazing bars, and four/four-pane sashes on the first floor, narrower in the middle and with horns to the sides. Number 5 has a six-panel door with glazed upper panels, an eight/eight-pane sash on the ground floor set in a flush box, and a narrow four/four-pane sash above the door. The interior of the cottages was not inspected.
