Description
No. 27 on St Augustine's Parade is a house that has been converted into an office. It dates back to the 17th century but was rebuilt in the 19th century and again in the late 20th century. Originally timber-framed, it now features a rendered exterior and a gabled roof covered with pantiles. The building has a double-depth plan and consists of three storeys plus an attic, with a two-window range. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front, and there is a shallow jetty at the second floor. The windows are 6/6-pane sashes set in exposed frames, with a single sash window in the attic. The interior was originally timber-framed but was largely remodelled around 1980. It is now part of a larger internal space that includes Nos. 26-30.
