Description
This is a pair of attached houses located at 96A and 100 St Michael's Hill in Bristol, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco with limestone dressings and feature brick stacks. No. 100 has a slate mansard roof, while No. 96A has a pantile hipped roof. The buildings have a double-depth plan and are two storeys high with a four-window range. The front has a frieze and cornice beneath a parapet. No. 96A is narrower and has a door on the right side, while No. 100 has symmetrical windows flanking a central door. The doorways are adorned with brackets supporting a segmental pediment, and each features a semicircular arch with a fanlight above a six-panel door. The windows have cambered heads and consist of 8/8-pane sashes, with rear windows having sashes in exposed frames. The interior has not been inspected.
