Description

The cross and drinking fountain located in the middle of St James' Park in Bristol is a 19th-century structure, with the fountain itself dated 1885. It features a pennant stone base, a limestone ashlar plinth and cross, and a red granite basin. The design includes an octagonal stepped base with a square plinth supporting an octagonal shaft. On the south side, there is a curved basin set one step down from the top, which has a bronze tap positioned above it.
