Description
The attached walls, railings, and gates on the south-east side of St James' Church date from the late 18th century. They are made of cast and wrought iron, as well as limestone ashlar. The structure features dwarf walls and railings topped with pyramidal finials that have small crockets. There is also a pair of gates with square-section stanchions, which support overthrow arches for lamps, and double gates that include lozenge panels. These elements may have been constructed around the same time as the south porch of St James' Church.
