GV II

House, now office. c1745, altered c1780. Roughcast with limestone dressings, pantile hipped roof. Double-depth plan. Mid Georgian style. 2 storeys and basement; 3-window range. A symmetrical front, the pedimented centre broken forward, with a plat band, cornice and parapet. The left return is a symmetrical 3-window elevation with the middle broken forward, and a late C18 doorway with architrave, thin consoles to a pediment and large stepped key, and 6-panel door. Similar doorless right-hand elevation. Windows have keyed architraves to 6/6-pane sashes, and 2/2-panes to the ground-floor front. INTERIOR: largely remodelled; central stair well with a boarded-in open dogleg stair, elliptical arches to the hall, shutters and 6-panel doors.
