Description

Ye Olde Cottage is a house located on Luccombe Hill, Redland, Bristol. It dates to 1675, with a possible refronting in the early 19th century. The building is rendered with limestone dressings, features lateral stacks, and has a hipped roof. It follows a double-depth plan and is in a Late Georgian style.

The asymmetrical front is punctuated by a central semicircular-arched doorway with a split key and impost. The doorway features a 6-panel door with flush panels. Two ground-floor windows have timber-lined reveals and four-pane sashes. Above these are French windows with cast-iron lattice basket balconies. A six-pane sash window is positioned over the door, with a smaller casement window to the left. Three small lateral stacks run along the parapet, and a single stack is located on the blind right return. The interior of the cottage has not been inspected.
