Description

The gate piers flanking the entrance to Cambridge Park date from the 18th century, with lions added in 1870. They are made of limestone ashlar and feature square rusticated piers topped with caps inscribed with the name "CAMBRIDGE PARK." On top of the piers are carved lions in a couchant position, with one lion dated 1870. The gate piers were formerly adorned with a wrought-iron overthrow arch.
