Description
This is an 18th-century red brick house, formerly known as 'Hillside', located on Church Street. The house has a brick eaves cornice and a tiled roof, with end chimneys. It is two storeys high with an attic containing a single hipped dormer window. There are three windows on each floor; the first-floor windows are in moulded, boxed frames with glazing bars, while the ground floor windows are replacements with glazing bars. A doorway is set within a moulded architrave and has a pediment above it. A 19th-century square lamp with a tapered design, cap, and finial is fixed to the wall. The property forms a group with numbers 10-13 and 14-16, their associated railings and walls, and with the Priory Church, churchyard gates, sundial, and boundary walls to the churchyard and Garden of Remembrance.
