Description

This is an 18th-century red brick building, originally a house now known as Church Hatch. The brickwork is notable for its use of headers, with rusticated brick quoin bands outlining the facade. The building has a tiled roof with stone verges and coped gable ends. It is two storeys high with five windows, featuring sash windows with glazing bars. A three-step porch is approached by a grand stone staircase with Doric columns and a triglyph frieze. The front door is made of six panels, set within panelled reveals. A recessed wing extends to the north-west.

The building forms a group with numbers 10 to 16, their associated railings and walls, the Priory Church, the churchyard gates, the sundial, and the boundary walls to both the churchyard and the Garden of Remembrance.
